Winter League Schiesse

Another decent outing for Penn today.  3+ip/1er/1bb/3k.

MILB.com gave some ink to Wieters and Snyder the other day highlighting their Friday heroics thusly:

"Orioles prospects Matt Wieters and Brandon Snyder combined for eight hits and six RBIs on Friday as the Honolulu Sharks battered the North Shore Honu, 16-6.

Both Baltimore first-round picks went 4-for-5 with three RBIs. Wieters, the fifth overall selection in the 2007 draft, had his finest day as a professional. He sandwiched doubles in the first and sixth innings around a leadoff homer in the fourth.

The Georgia Tech product is batting .317 with one homer and 12 RBIs for the first-place Sharks (12-10).

Snyder nearly hit for the cycle as he legged out an RBI triple in the second and a run-scoring double in the seventh. He raised his batting average to .407, which ranks second in Hawaii Winter Baseball behind teammate Argenis Diaz (Red Sox), who is hitting .424 after going 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored."
