O's/Yanks Saturday and Sunday games

I will be making my (likely) last trip of the season to camden this weekend. Saturday I just got standing room and Sunday I'm in center field. Ive never actually gone to Pickels so I figure saturday before the game is as good a time as any. If anyone's planning on going and wants to meet for a beer or something to that effect, let me know. Hopefully we'll be 2 for 2 on prize winning fans with the 100,000,000 coming this weekend...

PS - standing room sucks, but the game's sold out. Anyone know any area's that the ushers dont suck? I know there will be available seats. My only other option is to hope Pavano's agent (one of my GF's old friends) can get us a couple seats somewhere. And living in NJ, ive learned that nothing pertaining to pavano can be counted on.

Bavasi's Back!

Maybe we should look into trading Chris Waters for Jay Bruce and Adam Dunn...

O's Call Up Rocky Cherry

So he takes ChadBrad's roster spot. Should be fun to see what he can do. Thanks again, Trachsel...

Tex is an Angel

yep, here it is. looks like the braves get kotchman and minor league pitcher steven marek. does this kill any chance of us getting tex next year? well, the angels dont strike me as the 2 month rental-type, but with boras scheming in the background and with mark's apparent desire to play in bmore, who knows? what it does mean is the angels are beasts. hey, anyone who beats the phn/mfy's in the post season is  friend of mine.

Marlins want catcher/reliever. Hmm...

Here

razor is on their radar screen, as is flatbrim. they'd like to do it in 1 trade if possible (how convienient for us!). Sean West (pitcher) is the only prospect off limits in their organization.

now, i dunno the marlins system that well, but SOMEONE has to be getting blocked by hanley rameriez, right? please?

at the very least, it'd be lovely to get something for ramon. hit another one tonight , razor!

It doesn't only happen to us...

check out the mets giving up 6 runs in the ninth. sure, it may not have happened on any kind of holiday (at least not that i'm aware of), but it happened while facing a division rival that they're currently neck and neck with for the national league east lead. looks like someone needs bullpen help. i think i may just know a team that has a few pieces it could trade away...

Poll: Does anyone NOT want this team to be "sellers"?

I just read SC's fron page story, and at the end he wrote how he wanted to make clear that he thinks the "chase for .500" is stupid. Now, I am fully on board with him. I'd be nice to not have a losing season, but who really cares? I, for one, rather get some prospects for whatever tradable talent we have. I think the rest of you feel this way too, but I need to be sure. Does anyone here REALLY think this team having a winning season this year is worth holding onto Huff, B-Rob, Sherill, Etc..? I don't want to sell anyone for less then they're worth, (and if we really could get more for them after the season then during, fine) but I dont think thats really the situation here, at least not with Huff and Roberts. So what say ye?

Orioles (40-37) @ Nationals (31-49), 6/27/08

No gameday thread yet, so we can talk here for now. Here's a few topics:  Good Danny/ Bad Danny? How about Fahey (ugh)? How YOU doin'? Also, the yanks got creamed today by the mets in game one, so 1 more loss by them tonight and a win by us, and we're tied for 3rd. aint life grand?

D. Cabrera Bal vs. O. Pérez Was

5-3 Record 2-5
4.46 ERA 4.09

[Note by Stacey, 06/27/08 8:21 PM EDT ]  Thanks for putting this up, Dave. I changed the title and added the pitchers from Yahoo. Go O's!
